My boyfriend is really good at drawing Japanese Anime cartoons, could he have a career in this?
Q. He is 20, he just draws them all day, he looks at pictures on the internet then draws them and adds his own little details he is really good. He lives in the UK, though and not Japan.

A. Sorry, Molly, but his chances are near zero. There's thousands of Japanese youth who also want to do the same thing. Unless your BF is an established artist, there's little chance of him making a career of it. He would have to have his own original art as well, not copy someone else's.

What shows, cartoons, anime were picked up again after canceling?
Q. I wonder what shows, cartoons, anime were picked up after they were canceled - personally to my mind came only Slayers and Kim Possible. Anyone knows more examples?

A. Buffy was picked up again by the UPN (very soon after contracts finished with the WB) Family Guy is famous for being picked up again due to dvd sales. The tv Show Firefly was not picked up again but the fanbase support allowed it to be made into a movie afterwards called Serenity. As with Futurama and it's future/current Straightto DVD releases

A. Adobe Flash isn't built for animating scanned images. If you were to draw each individual image and then move each slightly (frame by frame animation) then yes, Flash will allow you to do this, however you could also do this in Windows Movie Maker, which is easier and cheaper. If you wanted to animate your characters in Flash I would probably recommend drawing each section of the body individually (splitting up joints such as upper arm and lower arm) and then scanning them in. That way you wont have to cut up the pictures in Flash so that you can move your characters. So in an answer to your question, you would be able to animate your drawn characters in Flash but it is more difficult than you think. It may be better to scan in your… [cont.]

How can you make animated music videos (like anime/cartoons) ?
Q. Hi, I'm an artist but I've only worked with static 2D drawings. I don't actually do anime, but it's an example of the kind of work I want to do--if you look for amv (animated music video) on Youtube you see tons of examples. I have Photoshop Elements, and that's it. And I'm broke. Any idea if I can make a video? Thanks!

A. you could try synfig... it's a pretty good open source (free) program. I'm not sure if it supports audio though, so if you use it, you might have to use another program to sync the audio and animation.

A. Depends. If you already know the traditional way for drawing manga, then maybe since you can try and adapt your style to resemble other ones, possibly improving it. Q. I've recently became a fan of anime. I watched the whole Full Metal Alchemist series and movie and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. I would like to know is there other series as good as or similar to that? I heard Cowboy Bebop is good but I havn't yet watched it.

Q. turn on a cartoon channel and see some chessy anime cartoon about spells and ***(no offence anime lovers) and i keep telkling myself , "where are all the cartoons like superman,x-men or even road runner??" i want too see funny cartoons like back in the day.. why as north america fallen inlove with anime? i have nothing against the "genre" but it getting difficult to find a funny cartoon for both i and my brother to watch together.
